Coventry Blue Coat CE School upgrade Wireless
Coventry Blue Coat Church of England School were experiencing reliability problems with their existing wireless network which lead to a high level of support calls and frustration of staff and pupils.
Daconi performed a wireless survey to verify existing WiFi coverage and to identify problems such as WiFi interference from both WiFi and other devices using the WiFi spectrum (2.4 and 5GHz bands). Daconi then installed enterprise-grade Proxim AP4000 access points which feature reliable performance with market leading throughput achieved using dual radios (WiFi a/g).
Steve Penny, ICT Resource and Network Manager, said "Daconi's wireless expertise was critical in solving our wireless problems. The features which ensure network integrity, such as Link Integrity, are key to user satisfaction and have reduced our support calls to zero." Steve White, ICT Technician, said "I was impressed by Daconi's site survey tool, it allows you to see problem areas and optimise wireless coverage."
Daconi provide a comprehensive wireless survey as part of an installation.
