SDSL Broadband
Symmetric DSL (SDSL)
SDSL
stands for Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line. It is symmetric because
the downstream rate (the data you receive from the internet) is the
same as the upstream rate (the data you send to the internet). SDSL is
a technology for business customers who have higher upstream bandwidth
needs. The rates typically range from 512kbit/s to 2Mbit/s dependent on
line length. Telephony services are not supported on the same line and
so micro filters are not necessary.
BT and other Broadband providers are currently rolling out SDSL.
